A DVA (Digital Voice Assistant) is an assistant that "floats" through the web pages and can read the text of the page aloud. It has two buttons to read, pause, resume and stop the reading. The user can select a text from the page and click on read to convert text to speech online. It is also possible to change the voice (masculine or feminine) by clicking on the male or female shape.

What does my computer need in order to use the DVA?
  • Browser with Adobe Flash Player 9.0.x or higher. An inferior version can be update in http://www.adobe.com.
  • JavaScript activated in the browser.
  • Sound card and loud speakers.
  • Internet connection with a minimum speed of 128 Kbps.

  • How can I move the DVA through the web page?
      DVA can be dragged through the window of the browser by placing the cursor of the mouse on the circle and moving it while pressing left mouse button. When you remove your finger from the mouse, the DVA will remain in the new position.

    How does a DVA work?
      DVA uses digital voices of great quality to read texts in over 20 languages. It can read some texts automatically and can read the contents of a web page on the users demand. To convert a text to speech you must select the text and click on Read. Once the reading has begun, you can stop or resume it by clicking the same button or stop it with the Stop button. It is also possible to choose between a male or female voice by clicking on the shape of the man or woman.
